the location was quite alright, but I expected more like a red carpet welcome, not just a mediocre owner. the shower had no curtain, which was absolutely ridiculous. I almost gave a glowing review until I realized I didn’t even get an upgrade after that slipshod experience. save your money and skip this place.

Breathtaking sunsets and warm welcomes
We arrived to a warm welcome, greeted with a bottle of wine to celebrate our recent marriage. The staff shared fantastic local tips, and our room had a lovely balcony with stunning views. We savored sunset cocktails just steps away, and the traditional Ladenia pie was a delightful surprise during our stay.
While the room was quite basic and lacked luxury, it didn’t diminish our experience. The walk from the parking area could be awkward with heavy luggage, so consider lighter bags for convenience.

We had an amazing time exploring Plaka, especially enjoying the stunning views from our room every morning. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the castle ruins and vibrant local shops and restaurants. We also loved the short trip we took to the catacombs.
For dads, it would be great to have more family-friendly dining options nearby.

The stunning view from the balcony provided a remarkable backdrop for sunsets, making every evening a visual delight. The location, perched at a high point, allowed for a peaceful atmosphere, with easy access to a charming old church just a short uphill walk away.
Navigating to the hotel can be a workout, especially if you're hauling heavy luggage up the gradual incline, so lightening your load might be wise. The air conditioning unit was quite noisy and not very effective, making for some uncomfortable nights during hot spells. the bathroom lighting felt inadequate, and the shower drainage left something to be desired, which could be a bit of a nuisance for longer stays.

Staying at Piazza Castello felt like living in a postcard. The breathtaking view from the terrace warmed my mornings. Sunset cocktails while gazing over the sea? Pure bliss. Yiannis and his family provided exceptional service, making everything feel personal. The double room came with wonderful sea views, and the cleanliness was top-notch, with fresh towels daily. the shower lacked a curtain, turning the bathroom floor into a small lake every time I showered. Parking can also get tricky, especially if you're in a car instead of a motorbike, but that’s part of the charm of Plaka. It was easy to overlook the minor inconveniences because the location, just steps from the castle ruins, was so perfect for exploring the area.

Couples looking for fine views
We loved the cocktails, especially the ones we could take to go. The view of the sunset just to the right up the steps was amazing, and it was in the heart of where the nightlife is.
It wasn’t exactly cheap but still acceptable for what you get.
